Leadership Coaching
We draw upon a well-developed approach to candidate assessment in our work with leadership coaching clients. Clients walk us through their careers, outlining accomplishments, challenges, and strategies. We discuss how they grew programs, met or exceeded expectations, and also where they found they could not achieve results or resolve problems, despite their best efforts. In mock interviews, we draw out the key themes, facts, and follow-up questions that search committees often address with advancement candidates. Informed by these conversations, we provide a point in time assessment that outlines the clients’ strengths and areas for growth. We also build a list of targeted questions that clients might encounter in an interview process, and guide them on how they might address them.
With career growth in mind, we offer advice on how to address gaps in their background and areas for professional growth, and suggest consultants who may help in targeted areas, as appropriate. We draw upon our understanding of a range of organizational structures to advise our leadership clients on strategies for how to broaden their areas of responsibility and grow within an institution. Our goal is to assist clients in presenting themselves, their skills, and experience in concise and compelling terms, and to strengthen their professional profile, whether in pursuit of greater responsibility within their current organization or in a new role outside it.
